Fold and Flip - Fun Fold Greeting Card

Earlier this week I had the priviledge of holding a workshop for my friend and Stamp Class Assistant, Adela. She requested at least one Christmas card as one of her projects; I combined her idea with a  fun fold technique that can be used year-round.

This sideways image may seem like a strange view of the finished card, but I wanted to be sure you could see the flaps/folds of each layer.

To create this style of fun-fold card, begin with a piece of card stock measuring 4-1/4" x 9". Score it at 5-1/2". At this point, we layered on some Designer Series Paper, but you can leave your card stock bare if you prefer.

Next, cut another piece of card stock 3" x 8-1/2" and score it at 3-3/4". Adhere the larger flap of this card to the inside of the card base as shown below. (The shorter flap, the part sticking out to the right, flips down to enclose the bottom/front flap of the card base. If you look closely, you can see part of the ornament sticking out over the edge.)

Easy peasy! Hope you enjoy giving it a try!
