US244 Bootiful Occasions Winter Greeting Card

Ready for a new sketch? Today's sketch challenge at Unscripted Sketches should get the wheels turning.

With the majority of my family living in the Atlanta area and enjoying the rare snowy winter, I thought it would be fun to send them a fun winter greeting from my warm perch in Florida. They know I love shoes and the weather here; this set, Bootiful Occasions, has the perfect image and greeting. :)

The greeting and pretty little boot are actually part of the same stamp. Simple masking tape is a great tool to use when you want to isolate part of a stamp. The three boots in the 'back' were stamped using this technique.

Don't forget step 4! (Trust me…)
Now stamp and you are left with only the boot:

Now repeat the process, but this time cover the boot and not the sentiment. This way you'll have plenty of space to cut out the sentiment using your favorite shape. Here, I used a fluffy looking Word Bubble Framelit since it mimics the furry, fluffy top of the boot. Who knew stamping boots could be as fun as shopping for the real ones? ;)
