Unscripted Sketch 161 Stampin' Up! Easy Events

Unscripted Sketches has a new sketch this weekend; will you give it a try?

I turned the sketch on it's side and used this tutorial from splitcoaststampers to make a cute little 4"x 4" thank you card.

The bird/branch image (from Stampin' Up!'s Easy Events) includes the words "wedding wishes" underneath the image. To isolate the image and leave out the words, I put a piece of Scotch tape over the words before inking up the image with pigment ink. Once inked, I removed the tape and then added color. If you haven't tried this technique, you'll be happy to know that I have step-by-step instructions, including photos, on my How-To page. You can get there by clicking the link in the sidebar.

Now to see some gorgeous creations based on this sketch, be sure to visit the Unscripted Sketches website. Seriously... my project is the most boring one so you definitely want to click the link! Join artists from throughout the world and upload your project as well. Enjoy!

  9. Wow - Rose Red really pairs nicely with that new DSP, I might find myself using this color more often.
