Stampin' Up! from Canada to Florida!

I was recently contacted by a lovely lady by the name of Teresa Hafso, a Stampin' Up! demonstrator in Alberta, Canada. Teresa,  who blogs at The Scrappin' Mama and has given me the honor of participating as a Featured Stamper on her blog.  I was so excited - walking on air - and then I realized she's the SCRAPPIN' Mama... so I'd better get to work on a scrapbook page!

If you've visited my site before, you may have noticed that I tend to share mostly greeting cards but I have been known to branch out a bit. Today's project will be included on a calendar I am making for my mother... only 11 more to go! lol

You may have noticed that I left a bit of space under the OCT title. That spot is for a short journaling note about the boys' costumes. The scored lines running across the Whisper White card stock will help me to write straight!
Do you notice the black square in the bottom left? This is a slider mechanism that opens up to reveal a hidden note. This next photo shows it open:

For step-by-step instruction on the slider, check out my video tutorial. In the video you will see the mechanism used on a 5x5 card; it is also decorated more since it is the main feature of the card.

Thanks for stopping by! And please be sure to stop by and visit Teresa at The Scrappin' Mama - she has some great things to share with you. (Thanks again, Teresa!)
