Utah Divas Int'l Sketch 100!
Can you believe it? 100 Sketches! And sketch 100 is interesting, indeed. I can't wait to see what the other ladies have in store for us today! Our blogs are all linked together in a "hop"; I've provided the next hop for you below, she'll link to the next, etc. until you've made your way through all of the stops. If at any time a link gives you trouble, you can always visit the UDI blog for the sketch and list of blogs. Now, without further ado - here's my take on the sketch!
This card was created by altering the sketch just a little:
  • My main panel (the one with the flowers, etc.) is a bit larger than suggested on the sketch. But that's okay - the idea is to take the sketch and run with it, but still be able to recognize it.
  • Instead of using a circle in the upper left, a few images from our Tiny Tags were punched out and are dangling on some linen thread. (See a more detailed photo below).
  • Two large stamps, En Francais and Inspired by Nature are used together to create a bit of visual texture. I chose not to mask the flowers, but let the text layer directly over it.
  • A bit of sponging on the image and the edges softens the brightness of the Very Vanilla card stock. (Crumb Cake ink mostly, but with a little bit of the Always Artichoke.)
Well, that's it for me today. Now let's hop over to Alisa's blog and see what wonderful things she has in store for us today!
Thanks for stopping by!

  5. What a beautiful card - I love the use of the script stamp behind the floral silhouette, the colours and the tag on it's string - just comes together perfectly.
