Sketch 99

We're on Sketch #99 for the Utah Divas Int'l. This one is very unique, isn't it? It will be fun to see how everyone along the blog hop interpreted it. If you would like to participate, be sure to share your creation by embedding a link within a comment here or on the Utah Divas blog site. The link to the next person is below. Enjoy!

Notes:
  • This card measures 4x4 (finished). Although it is square, it will still fit in a Medium envelope (also called "invitation") and will still fall under the standard postage rate.
  • The front panel is cut shorter than the back; the layer of green you see below the scallops is actually on the inside of the card.
  • Paper Snips stay so sharp that they make easy work of fussy cutting (cutting out elements like these scoops of ice cream).
  • Have fun with your sketches - move things around a little if that's what it takes to make your project "work" for you. These ice cream scoops didn't want to hover around the cone, they followed gravity and fell off the cone :)

Thanks for stopping by! Now let's head over to Barbara's blog. She has made the most adorable card using my favorite stamp set, Greeting Card Kids. (Adorable!) If you're new to this hop, you'll also be happy to know that she'll provide the link to the next person in the loop. If any links give you trouble, please visit the UDI site for a complete list of participants. Thank you!

  1. Adriana, this is a wonderful take on this week's sketch. And I'm sure most people can relate to an ice cream cone "oops"! This is a totally cute card!

  5. Super cute! I don't have the sock monkey set (gasp) so had never noticed the ice cream cone in the accessory set. I just might have to get it so that I can have a "current" cone now that Sweet Scoops is gone :( Great card!

  7. Waaahhh, reminds me of when I was just coming out the door of the ice cream store in VA Beach when I was a kid. HUGE simultaneous flash and clap of thunder, and there went the ice cream cone! Love the colors you chose for his!!!
