Quick projects using Stampin' Up! Morning Cup

Did you know that more Americans make resolutions at this time of year than in January? If you have school aged kids, this probably makes sense to you. They're headed back to the classroom and you can once again concentrate on your tasks and goals. Many of us decide it's time to put some structure back in the day to allow time for necessary work and time for leisure.

If you are like me, I always look forward to time with friends. Time to sit and chat, catch up and help keep each other motivated and joyful. And the best ways to do that always seems to involve food and a beverage! As paper-crafters, how about if we add a little decoration to this fun time? Here are some ideas to help you make your friends feel even more special as you spend time together:

Keep stamping even after you've made an invitation. A small alphabet set, like the Rough Type used here, helps to personalize small signs. Use scraps to create small tent-fold cards; add a stamped image and information about the snack or beverage you are sharing. That way, your friends will know which flavor of tea you've made for them, what kind of muffin you've plated, or which pot of coffee contains their favorite kind.

Always know which cup belongs to whom with a simple tag. Stamp your image and punch out with a circle punch. Back this piece with a larger punched circle of colored card stock and then add an eyelet. Colorful ribbon adds a girlie twist and ties the tag to the mug. Another way to personalize these tags would be to add a monogram instead. How special would you feel to find a tag made just for you?

See how simple it can be? Simple but special! Enjoy!
