Cute by the inch

Based on today's sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You.
The strip going across the top was created using a new Level 2 hostess stamp set, Cute By the Inch. The sentiment block uses another stamp from this same set.  To stamp them, I used a technique I haven't used in a quite a while: Rock-n-roll! First tap your image onto your first ink color (always start with lighter first!), then roll the edges of your stamp into the 2nd color. The 1st color will remain prominent in the center with the darker color accenting the outer portion of the image. Nice touch, eh?

Although I like the clean look of the Naturals Vanilla piece, I believe it would be  nice to re-do this and stamp something like the French Script background on it. But of course, I didn't think of that until I saw the card on my screen, so.... maybe next time ;)

Thanks for stopping by!
