Shaving Cream Technique Tutorial

Hi there! Sorry for the late post today. I wanted to show you (or remind you) of how to do the shaving cream technique and didn't have time until this afternoon! "Why?", you might ask. Well, tomorrow's sketch challenge with the Utah Divas has this technique thrown in, so I thought it would be good to provide this info first!
I've put together these step-by-step photos and will be turning them into a short video this weekend; I'll post that when it's done, too!
For this technique you'll need:
shaving cream
a plastic box (stamp box or food storage)
re-inkers and/or paper-safe paint
glossy white card stock

1. Squirt your shaving cream into your container and spread it around.
2. Drop dots of ink randomly into the shaving cream. (Not too much, you don't want to make it muddy!)
3. Run a stick or thin piece of paper through the cream and create little trails of ink throughout your cream. Again, just a little to move the ink. Not so much that your colors run together.
4. Put your paper into the box, glossy side down onto the cream. Tap down to make sure it's all covered, then lift your paper out.
5. Wipe the excess shaving cream and ink off your paper. You can use tissue, an old towel or your Decor elements applicator.
6. Set it aside to dry a bit. You've now made a great background element for your card!

Do you notice the shimmer in this last picture? That's because I used our soon-to-be-released shimmer paint along with 2 re-inkers. I love the slight shimmer it added to my paper. This product is going to be so much fun!
Don't forget to check back tomorrow for the finished card!
