How-to: Faux Alligator Technique

As promised, today I'm going to show you how to do the Faux Alligator technique shown on yesterday's card share.

Step 1: Cover the piece of card stock you are using with VersaMark. I find it easier to place my card stock on scrap paper and press the ink pad directly onto it.

Step 2: Pour clear embossing powder over the entire piece. Tip over the paper and tap on the back a few times to get the extra powder off.

Step 3: With a stylus or bone folder, draw a loose grid on your paper, dragging through the embossing powder. Let your lines have a little "squiggle" to them.

Step 4: Use a heat tool to melt and set the embossing powder. You now have a "faux alligator" element to add to your paper creation!
