Amiga! Scrapbook Page

Lookie there - me.... scrapbooking! Yes, it's been known to happen from time to time. :)

Today, I was cleaning out a desk drawer and unearthed a couple of sketch sheets from PageMaps. I love the sketches they provide for scrapping and card-making and almost always look through them whenever I decide to scrap. The pages I found were for mini maps, pages either 8x8 or 6x6. Perfect for one photo if that's what you've got to work with. The picture I scrapped is of myself and my friend Jessica enjoying good company and a good beverage (wine for her, coffee for me) at a stamp camp. This picture has been on my desk for about a year and, deserving better treatment than that, I ditched my cleaning and worked on the page instead!

The gist of this page (including the mix of English/Spanish) is that Jess is a good friend who is "cool" with me being who I am - a gringa from a Latino family. And Jess is unapologetically who she is and has taught me a thing or two about that. I've no clue if I've taught her anything; I'm just grateful that we can be friends even though we're 10+ years apart in age. Ah- she's older... ahem. ;)
