Stamp Review Crew - Pop of Paradise

Welcome to Escape2stamp! Today, the Stamp Review Crew is holding a blog hop featuring the Stampin' Up! stamp set, Pop of Paradise. This fun set has a tropical vibe and is so useful for all sorts of projects. I hope you'll take the time to bump through the hop and enjoy the projects we have created for your inspiration!

As much as I have played with this set, I hadn't really thought to try watercolor. So for this thank you card, I taped down a piece of watercolor and gave it a quick background wash with Pear Pizzazz ink then tapped some additional drops of Old Olive and Mossy Meadow. While it was still damp, I lightly stamped the pineapple which had been colored in with Pear Pizzazz and Crushed Curry.

Now, the funny part…? I didn't realize until just this moment that I painted the crown in Curry and the body of the fruit in Pear. Wow. Well, let's just skip over that and look at the pretty curved leaves and banner. Both were stamped using the Stamparatus (stamp positioning tool) which allowed me to stamp in color then overstamp in Versamark for heat setting with clear embossing powder. Nice and shiny. And hopefully distracting from the pineapples.

Next is a cute little tent card made using these stamps plus our Apron Builder dies. I thought this might be fun for a potluck type meal where you need to share info on what you brought. Our Labeler Alphabet includes two small alphabet styles and is super useful for helping personalize your project.
