Merry Wishes Christmas in the Making

I'm hiding in the family office (aka my craft room) pretending I don't hear the laundry calling out to me. Any second now, the dryer is going to beep and let me know that load is ready and remind me that I can skip ironing some of those things if I get them out quickly.

But first, I just had to share this card with you. I'm loving our Christmas In The Making stamp set. These retro images are just SO pretty and with the release of our Blends markers, coloring them with crisp, sharp color is so easy. The time consuming part (for me, anyway) is getting lost in the layers and details that call to me much louder than the dryer's beep!

The layout for this card is based on the following sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. I took a little liberty by moving the elements to the left and adding some addtitional layers. The white panel underneath was just so stark at first; then I remembered this piece I had embossed with paste and a stencil some time ago. I'm hoping it's just the touch of detail needed to add "something" without detracting from our lovely lady. Hope you like it, too!
