Stampin' Up! Crafting Forever graduation thank you cards

Our son Devin is graduating from high school at the end of this month. He has had a great experience at a local 'school of choice' and is very ready to start his next adventure. Especially since it's not likely to involve calculus!

I wanted to send a couple of thank you notes to teachers who have been a wonderful influence on him, teaching him the skills he needed for the particular subject but also something about life along the way.

These note cards were created using a new stamp set called Crafting Forever. The fountain pen image you see above is actually from a set of three pens that make up one stamp. I simply used scissors with a non-stick coating to carefully cut them apart. (I can see myself using them more as individual images than as one whole.) The 1/4" Very Vanilla ribbon is also a new item; both are being released with the 2017-18 Annual Catalog.

Thanks for joining me on my little escape today! I'd love to hear your thoughts: how do you feel about stamp surgery?

Stampin' Up! Everyday Hero greeting cards for kids

Is it possible for a person to have too much fun creating cards for kids? I don't think so…

At least that wasn't the case while I created this whole squad full of cards for hospitalized kids. They all use images from our currently available Everyday Hero stamp set. (Note: If this set interests you, you'll want to get it before it retires a the end of May! I know… I can't believe it either!) The only tools required to make this set as shown is a circle punch, some Paper Snips (detail scissors) and coloring tools!

For more details, let me share the cards individually. Ladies first!

And now a dude. I thought it might be fun to give him different colored hair, too.

And how about some more details on the super suit?

So can you tell I had fun? LOL
Well hopefully the kids who receive this will, too!

Stampin' Up! Pieces & Patterns greeting card

Simple stamping and a little bit of coloring came together to create this cute hello card!

To color the dinosaur, I used a Blender Pen and ink from the lid of a Mint Macaroon ink pad. I kept it light on the body then went back in and added more color by lightly tapping dots onto the body. I cleaned off the brush tip, then also added a few dots in Crumb Cake ink. Here's a closeup:

The Splitcoast Stampers Cards 4 a Cause effort this month is all about kids. The idea is to create cards that will be sent to children undergoing medical treatment. If you would like more information about this cause or would like to participate, just click here.

Stampin' Up! Mixed Drinks 50th Birthday card

My friend Jenny will be turning 50 this month. She's such a sweet person that I won't be sending one of those cards that makes fun of these occasions. (I save those for my brothers.) But 50 did make me think of the silver decor that usually gets promoted for this day and that thought led to this:

She is pretty amazing :)

And so is this layout!

New Stampin' Up! Products

Ugh! Laundry - why do you demand so much attention?!

I received a box of new goodies today - almost all are items from the upcoming annual catalog.  Thanks to our love for clean clothes, I won't be in the craft room today but I wanted to go ahead and give you a peek at a new embellishment we will be offering.

Glitter enamel dots!! And aren't the sizes great? These dots are a great addition to the white enamel dots we already offer. (The white ones can be used as-is or you can color them with alcohol based markers like sharpies or copics.) If you haven't tried them, you may be happy to know they're not bulky and to use them you simply peel and stick.  I love the added simple detail to projects and the fact that they do not interfere with the mailing process. You know... so we can actually mail the cards we create 😁   Go ahead #makeacardshareacard
