One more Stampin' Success CASE: Sprinkles of Life

3.28.2016

My last few posts have shared different cards that are almost-direct copies of projects shared in the Stampin' Success magazine. I hope you have enjoyed these cards and, if you are a demo, are inspired to create some of your own! And if you are not a Demonstrator… well, now you have seen one more reason why being a Demonstrator is great :)

Sprinkles of Life w/ coordinating Tree Builder punch
Yay! I've been wanting to make this card since this coordinating set came out. I love this builder punch; it was used to punch out the tree top, trunk, apples and bird! (Click the link below to see the other images in this set that also coordinate with the punch.) So cute…

This supply list looks huge (!) but keep in mind that most of it reflects the scraps of card stock used for the main images. If you are new to crafting or to Stampin' Up!, please note that color-family packs are available (not only the individual packs linked here).

Stampin' Success Inspiration: Choose Happiness

3.27.2016

Here's another card from last weekend's burst of creativity. This beauty also inspired me to clean my desk… after I spritzed water all over the flowers to make the color run and remembered just how well the spritzers work! Buy hey, bonus - nice card AND a clean desk!

A couple of notes regarding "less than obvious" pieces:

  • The card base has a light woodgrain image imposed on it thanks to our Woodgrain embossing folder. Simply ink one side of the folder and then close the folder with your card stock sandwiched within. Press with your fingers to transfer the ink and design onto your paper.
  • The leaves were stamped onto watercolor paper. Spritz with water to make the color bleed a bit. More water = more spread… and = cleaner desk!
  • See the scrunchy-looking gold thread? You can get this by removing the gold thread from our Gold Baker's Twine; this thin thread is wrapped around the neutral twine, but when you unravel it you get this crimped looking option.

Stampin' Success: Birthday Banner inspiration!

3.26.2016

Here's a quick card copied from the Demonstrator magazine, Stampin' Success. I found this to be a great way to use up paper scraps! Enjoy!

change the colors and switch out the flower for a masculine greeting
This one really is as easy as it looks and isn't it fun? One quick note: all of the banners were cut using the same die from the Cutie Pie Framelit set. The full size of the triange/banner is the one you see with the sentiment, but if you move it slightly off the edge of your paper (or trim with scissors) you can create different sized banners!

Inspired by Stampin' Success - Sweet Stack Celebration

3.24.2016

One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is receiving an exclusive magazine filled with inspiration and ideas. This past weekend I hid in the craft room, turned on my favorite tunes and found a few projects from past issues of the magazine I've been meaning to create. Today's card is a cheerful card ready to help someone "celebrate good times"!

Just so you know, new Demonstrators can access past issues of the magazines. Also included are bonus projects not seen in the magazine! For more info regarding the perks of being a Demonstrator, click here.
