Easy Masked Birthday card

A smudge of ink led to today's clean and simple card. I didn't want to waste the card front, so instead I added some more smudges (a la sponging) and some simple stamping to create this fun birthday card. I'm saving this one for one of my boys :)

Project Notes:
  • To create the design across the bottom, cut a mask out of printer paper and lay across your card front. Add ink in a swirling motion onto the uncovered portion. Leave it light so that the sentiments you add next will show.
  • Tip*: Start your inking on your mask and move onto the uncovered card stock. This will help keep the color distribution even and also keep you from pushing your mask up and out of the way.
  • Next add image or sentiments (these are from Cheerful Critters) before removing the mask. Photopolymer stamps make this step super easy since you can see exactly where you are stamping.
  • To finish off your card, stamp a bold sentiment or add a die cut to convey your greeting. Or both :)
