Stampin' Up! Apothecary Accents

3.29.2013

One of the best things about Stampin' Up! products is how well they coordinate. For example, did you know that the Essentials Paper Piercing pack has a piercing guide for the shapes in the Apothecary Accents Framelit set? Well, yes it does and it makes it so easy to add extra detail to your die cuts. Here I've used it to emphasize the die cut window.

The card reads "for you with love", a sentiment that can be used year-round to tell someone how special they are :)

Product Supply details:
Stamps: Solo Para Ti (this set is also available in English - Made for You)
Colors: Very Vanilla, Riding Hood Red, Basic Gray
Tools: Big Shot, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Paper Piercing Tool, Paper Piercing Mat, Full Heart Punch

CTS19 Stampin' Up! Need for Speed

3.14.2013

Here's a card for my honey created using a total guy stamp set, Need for Speed. He had a car similar to this one when we met and, let me tell you - he babied that car. He has another sporty car now and he babies it, too! When I made the card I was thinking "helloooooo, baby" like how he feels about his car, but of course it will be a fun card to hide in his briefcase as "hello, babe" kind of thing.  I have to admit, when I first saw this sentiment, I only related it to new birth… I didn't know I could get so creative! lol

The layout is based on this week's challenge at Cas(e) This Sketch. I added an extra layer behind the main panel just for fun. Amazing, two out-of-the-box ideas in one day! :)

Free Biblical Journaling Guide

3.06.2013

After Bible study yesterday, our wonderful facilitator shared a journaling guide with those of us who find journaling to be a difficult task. She only had a few copies, so I took a picture of the one she was offering then brought it home to recreate using My Digital Studio. I found it to be very helpful so I thought it would be good to share in case you ever have difficulties with journaling, too. Hope you like it!

US200 Sonogram Scrapbook Page

3.02.2013

It's sketch time at Unscripted Sketches! Today, we are celebrating our 200th sketch and have added the piggyback challenge to make anything but a card. The design team members have shared some great projects from wall art to wine tags and even a free printable. You don't want to miss it! To check it out, simply click here to visit the Unscripted site.

I used this week's sketch to create a scrapbook page sharing sonogram pics of my younger son. I had some papers and stickers in my "stash"; I think I've owned them nearly as long as he's been alive… he's 12! About time to get this together, eh?

In case you are wondering about the spanish tags and wording, "Regalo de Dios" means "Gift from God" and the title next to it states "It's a boy". In the bottom right area "Amor a Primera Vista" means "Love at First Sight" and the journaling block says "5 months"(as in I was 5 months along in my pregnancy). What good memories… scrapbooking is good at bringing it all back, isn't it?

Stampin' Up! Is giving Photopolymer a shot!

3.01.2013

We've searched long and hard for just the right material to be able to introduce completely clear stamping. And we've found it. We're excited to announce that we now have wood-mount, clear-mount AND photopolymer stamps! The new photopolymer will be an addition to our stamp line and will appeal to all types of stampers. Our top-quality photopolymer has just enough give to create a perfectly stamped image every time and with the introduction of our firm-foam pads, let's just say they're meant for each other! Photopolymer stamps will also be unique, fun designs that will inspire you and provide more versatile options you may not see in our traditional wood- and clear-mount stamp options.

What makes them so great?
  • They're entirely transparent for perfect placement every time!
  • They are durable. The photopolymer material is designed to last.
  • Can you say sticky? (Don't worry; in a good way.) These stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks.
  • They're age tested. They won't yellow or cloud up over time.
  • They use FDA, food-safe material. How far can you stretch your stamping creativity?
  • We could go on, but we'll let you try them for yourself.
They are clearly a great choice.
