Stampin' Up! Greetings of the Season Tag

Christmas, already? Well, not quite; but with the release of our Holiday catalog in a few days, we can start planning! While at convention, I participated in a couple of Christmas themed swaps including a gift tag swap. I designed mine to hang on a bag or on the neck of a bottle. (A few friends have told me that wine makes a good gift!)

From the bottom up, here's how they came together:
  • Base of the tag - Neutrals Core'dinations (Early Espresso), run through our Woodgrain folder and sanded a bit to reveal the texture. Cut to shape using our Labels Collection Framelits.
  • Very Vanilla layer was also cut using the same framelits then stamped with an image from Happy Day. The edges of this layer were sponged with Crumb Cake Classic Ink (the same color used for stamping). Basic Pearl Jewels add a little touch of elegance.
  • Next comes a strip of tape, just one of three patterns in our Season of Style Washi Tape collection. (Holiday catalog item #132155)
  • The sentiment, from Greetings of the Season*, was inked using Early Espresso and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers then stamped onto Very Vanilla. Once punched out with our XL Oval punch, I sponged the edges of this layer just like the one below it.
  • Stampin' Dimensionals separate each layer.
  • The loop of ribbon is made of 7/8" Natural Cotton Ribbon, knotted with a bit of Linen Thread. It is adhered to the bottom most layer using Glue Dots.

*Greetings of the Season is a stamp set that was initially offered in our 2012 Holiday Catalog. Although not shown in our current catalogs, it IS still available. If you wish to purchase it, the item numbers for ordering as as follows:
