Stampin' Up! Bordering on Romance

4.13.2013

Here's a fun sketch to kick off your morning. It's from CAS(E) this Sketch and it looks perfect for making a batch of cards, doesn't it? The diagonal strips could be strips of paper, perhaps some embossed lines or - better yet, some stamps!

Here a border stamp from Bordering on Romance helps to create the diagonal lines of the sketch. It was an easy process using the lines on our Clear Block Guides.

If you would like to give it a try, here's how it works. First, stamp your first row of flowers. Then, ink up again and align the block so that the solid line on the guide goes through the center of the flowers in the previously stamped row. (I was using the 2nd horizontal line from the top; we snapped the picture just before I had it lined up, but I think you get the idea…)

The guides make it so easy to line up your stamps. I was able to make 4 cards very quickly using this sketch and only basic supplies. Fun and just the break I craved in the middle of a busy weekend. Thanks for stopping by!
