Unscripted Sketches #153 Vida en Cali

Woo-hoo it's the weekend! While you are enjoying free time, why not try this week's challenge at Unscripted Sketches? All you need to do is to create something using this sketch:
Use it to create a card, scrapbook page, 3d item... whatever your fancy. We invite you to play along and share your project using the linking tool shared on the Unscripted site. Three winners are chosen each week but even if you are not into competition, I encourage you to check out the site. There are so many great projects shared each week!

I used our sketch to create a scrapbook page with a few pictures from our Colombia trip (fall 2010) to visit my husband's family. The colors are based on that nation's flag: Yellow, Blue and Red. On this page, the pictures capture a few of the differences between the daily life in Cali and at home here in the states. Check it out:

My son Devin still misses the guy selling fresh bread every morning. (Note the picture in the upper right corner.) When we asked D if he was ready to visit again, his first question was if the man in the photo still has the route to sell bread. Gotta have your priorities, ya know? I won't tell his grandmother...
