Stampin' Up! Just Add Cake SASC129

Banners seem to be a popular addition in both card making and scrapbooking. Paula, our fearless card sketch gal at Stampin' Addicts, included one in the latest sketch challenge.

I thought it might be fun to create a card to welcome some new neighbors to the 'hood. I don't know that I have ever welcomed anyone to the neighborhood. Mostly people move in and we just wave at the mailbox. (Like "Hey, neighbor", on Seinfeld...) A real welcome seems like an older tradition that is worth reinstating, what do you think?

The cloud and the little house are both chipboard elements from our Merry Medley set. I covered them with Craft ink (White for the cloud, Garden Green for the house) and then poured on embossing powder. The cloud received Iridescent Ice e.p. to make it sparkle; for the house I just used clear powder, so it is shiny but not sparkly. Kinda cute!
