DivaSC180 For Dad

Another week has flown by and it's time to play with another sketch! This week's sketch is based on a card shared on page 86 of our Idea Book & Catalog. To see more ideas, don't forget to stop by the Utah Divas blog for additional samples including links to our participating Divas.

This week, I decided to skip the flowers and rhinestones and make something for a dude. My little guy - our guitar hero - gave this his best rating: EPIC. So now he gets to use it for Father's Day... ;)

The card base and main front layer are both Whisper White card stock stamped with both the splatter and star images from Extreme Elements. I used Baja Breeze ink for both, but for the splatter image I stamped off once onto scrap paper before stamping onto the card stock. If you are new to stamping you may not know that this is an easy way to get a lighter (but still the same color) version of a color you already own!

Stamps: Extreme Elements
Colors: Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Cherry Cobbler
Other: Billboard Alphabet die, Big Shot, 1/2" and 3/4" circle punches, White Baker's Twine
Always within reach: Tabletop Paper Cutter (106959), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430), Paper Snips (103579), Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner (102394), Stampin' Scrub (102642)
