Earlier this week I was knocked out with a cold and had to put aside a couple of important plans. One was a workshop we had to bump out a couple of days, and the other was getting this post written! See - The Paper Players are having a Design Team Call and if you want to participate on the team you have to submit your request by Sunday! I almost missed it - yikes!
I would LOVE to participate on the Design Team. Challenges are the A, #1, Perfect way to create! Sketches can get you out of a rut like nobody's business and color challenges often provide a combination of colors you may not have considered previously. I don't know about you, but I am a blue jeans (because they match everything) kind of girl so suggestions of color combinations are always welcome! After all, the colors you put on a project really set the mood. The Paper Players also include a Clean and Simple challenge and a Theme challenge each month. What more could a crafter ask for to kick-start her/his creativity?
Here are three of my previously posted projects and what I was thinking when I made them:
It's fun to pair something bold and perky with a clean layout. I love how the embossed flowers accentuate the color even further.
Want to comfort or let someone know they are special? Try soothing colors and a few extras in the finishing details:
A favorite style of mine is clean and simple with a touch of elegance. This card uses neutrals with a small pop of color and simple embellishments:
Yes, challenges are wonderful. And that's why I am hoping to be considered and accepted for next quarter's design team! :)
