Stampin' Addicts New Catalog Blog Hop

Photobucket

All weekend we are showcasing 18+ new stamps and tools from the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog. If you just landed here from Holly's blog, she just helped you spend some money on the new Perfect Pennant Die, didn't she? (Yup - me, too.) If you are just starting out here, you will be happy to know that we are all linked together. Our posts will be up all weekend; so feel free to take your time going through the hop, take a second look and share this hop with your stampin' friends!

The stamp set I chose to share with you is a new Hostess set called Ain't Love Grand. This set has some fun line art images. And making it even better - with the changes to our hostess program any hostess with merchandise totaling $150 or more can choose this with her hostess money! (No more levels - hooray!)

First, how about a little something for someone dealing with a summer cold? Pass the tissues, please.

This tin from the $1 bin at a local box store was perfect to hold the necessities! Lined with a scrap of our Candy Cane fabric, it contains pleated paper flowers, Kleenex tissues and cough drops.  The little tag hangs from another strip of fabric and is pinned in place, but you could tie the tag onto the pail's handle if you are skilled that way. Which I am not, apparently. Just add chicken soup... (I ate it already.)

Next a little card for someone special:

Love this little airplane image. And see the raindrops? Well, let me just say there will be an easy way to add those coming up in the Holiday Mini. (Yay!)
An optional way to use this image would be to use a blender pen to remove the sentiment before you stamp the plane and banner image. Simply ink the stamp, pass a blender pen over the area where you want to remove the ink. (Clean off the pen by rubbing over scratch paper.)  The banner will stamp without the sentiment and you can add your own message!

Now a project for those of us who are raising children to be responsible adults. Or working on it, anyway ;) This guy with the megaphone is helping:
He is on a list I gave my older son, who occasionally (ahem) needs a reminder. I'm posting where he won't miss it - next to the Chick-fil-a coupons. I know he looks at that calendar - he doesn't want to miss out on any free milkshakes!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed the projects shared today and found something inspiring in them. To continue with the hop, click here to visit Debra's site where she is sharing the Triple Treat Flower and even giving away some blog candy! We also invite you to join the blog hop discussion going on at Stampin' Addicts. Enjoy!

Okay, these are all adorable, but the "reminder" for your son, prominently placed where he can't miss is, really cracked me up! TFS!!!

I am glad you chose this set. You have shown how versatile it is. And what a great tip about erasing the sentiment-- makes it even more versatile! (The raindrops are such a cute touch!)
