Newest Digital Downloads

Nearly every week we have been releasing new digital downloads. This week's batch includes a wonderful Christmas package that you simply must see!

In case you are not familiar with these offerings, what you are seeing is the digital version of a scrapbook kit. The vertical lines on the left are the patterns in the Designer Series Paper (patterned, 12x12 paper) and also border strips. The ornaments and labels you see are the digital versions of the stickers and chipboard accents you would use with traditional scrapbooking.

Much like a traditional hands-on kit, you can use these elements to create pages, cards, home and party decor, etc. Unlike the traditional, they can be resized when you work with them digitally and you can also use as many of one piece as you like. For example, if you want all of your cards to have the candy cane striped paper in the background - you can do that. Want all of the pages in your scrapbook to include the Christmas Countdown sticker? You can do that, too.

There was one aspect, however that really won me over to trying digital crafting. Being able to create something once and print it multiple times. Over the next few months, I am looking forward to taking some of my favorite pictures from this year and creating a calendar for 2012. Once it is created, I can print several copies so that not only can we have one here at home, we can also send one to each set of grandparents, the great-grandmother and even our family in Colombia. Obviously, they are most interested in pictures of the boys but I might just stick one of my hubby and I in there somewhere so they remember who brought them these great kids! Just sayin'...
