Use It Tuesday - Make envelopes from 12x12 paper

It's Tuesday and time to share a way to use up some of your paper stash. I recently ran across THIS VIDEO where this crafty person shows us how to use 12x12 paper to make a nifty envelope. I used a sheet of retired Designer Series Paper, but this would certainly work with card stock instead.

One thing she doesn't mention in her video is that the finished envelope measures 5" x 6-1/2". This is roomy sized envelope for most of the cards we make (4-1/4" x 5-1/2"); in fact, you could fit two or three in there depending on how layered your card is. And think how fun it would be to dress up the envelope to match the card(s) inside! Yes, I know... this one is simple. I intend to mail a card in it so I'm going to leave it as bump free as possible so that it doesn't get caught in a USPS machine ;)

Now, if you are looking for a square envelope, I can help you there! Check out this previous post sharing step-by-step pics of the easy process.
