Use It Tuesday - Brads

So... how many brads do you have in your embellishment stash? Tons, right? Well, let's get to using them!
Idea One: Mix them up and underscore a simple image or sentiment.
I really like this because it doesn't matter if the brads match; great way to use up those random brads left over from previous projects.

Idea Two: Monogram Letter
Create a monogram initial for someone's name or to replace a word.
To create your letter, draw or print the letter you need on the back of your paper. Pierce holes for easy insertion of brads. Remember to draw/print your letter as a mirror image so that it will be correct on the front.

Idea Three: Create a swirl or trail
This is perfect for using up a large number of brads!
To create a swirl or trail - draw, print or stamp your swirl on the back of your paper. Our stamp set Flight of the Butterfly includes a couple of sentiments that are written as if they were the flight path of the butterfly. I stamped one onto the back of the paper then used a Paper Piercing Tool and Mat Pack to pierce the holes for the brads.
Once the brads were inserted (from the front), I used the end of my Paper Piercing Tool to open and set the brads. (The legs of the brads are sharp - use a tool or beware of poking your fingers!)

So there you have 3 ideas for using brads. I hope you are inspired to use up some of the neglected goodies in your stash! Thanks for stopping by!
