Critters on the fabric?

No - just Merry Crittermas images layered over fabric! (No pet hair this way! lol) Here's a fun card made using a classic 3 image layout and some of our lovely Candy Cane fabric.

The images were stamped with waterproof ink onto watercolor paper and then colored in with Classic Ink. If you are new to stamping, you may not know that you can squeeze your Stampin' Up! ink pad (while it's closed) to create a color palette. When you open the case, you'll have transferred some of the ink onto the lid of the pad. You can then pick up this ink with a painting tool of your choice and color in your images. For this card, an Aqua Painter was used to color in most of the images along with a  Blender Pen for some of the details and tight areas.
The fabric was cut with good scissors (promise!), but I pulled a few strands off each side so that there would be a little bit of fringe on the edges for added texture. The sides of the fabric are wrapped around the strip of Wild Wasabi that runs across the card. This allowed me to secure the fabric well and should keep it from unraveling any further.
And that's really it for this card. Coloring in these images is fun and so is incorporating fabric into paper-crafting. I hope you'll give it a try! Thank you for stopping by!
