Today's card is for our weekly Diva challenge. To see the sketch and the cards our other Divas have made, click here to be directed to the Utah Divas International blog site.
Along with the sketch this week, Carol suggested using window sheets. The white leaves you see above are printed (by SU!) directly onto the clear window sheet and are just one of the image choices available in our Printed Window Sheets (page 169 of the Idea Book & Catalog). There are 2 other printed design sets available (some with color!) and also clear sheets that can be stamped on or used for other techniques. Here are a few more notes about the card:
- Because they are clear, you can't really use adhesive behind the window sheets. I used two silver brads from our Hodgepodge Hardware kit to attach mine to a piece of Brocade Blue cardstock (cut to the same size).
- The Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon and silver ribbon slide (also from the Hodgepodge) also help to secure the window sheet.
- My little sentiment (from Baroque Motifs) was stamped with Brocade Blue Classic Ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock and cut out with Paper Snips.
- A handheld 1/16" punch was used to create the hole for the sentiment tag and the holes needed for the brads.
- Silver cording connects the sentiment to the ribbon slide.
