How to use Border Punches

I borrowed this Spiral punch from my friend Martha the other day.... and promptly wondered if it was broken. When I turned it over, what I was seeing wasn't making sense to me. I soon figured out that the punch was just fine, my understanding was just "lacking"!
Being the average person that I am, I thought it might be a good idea to share how this thing works and save you some grief!

1. Turn the punch over so that you are looking at the bottom. Slide your paper in until it runs into the guide. (If you click on the picture, you'll see it better.) Press the front tab and "punch"; there will be 2 notches cut into your paper.

2. Remove the paper and re-insert it into the punch aligning the left-hand notch into the "guide". The right hand notch will be sticking out of the punch as shown.

Continue punching and re-aligning until you have the amount of spiral notches you were looking for.

Not difficult at all is it? And it is a very cute look for a variety of projects. Here's a quick card I made this week using our Lots of Bots stamp set, a few markers, and this punch. Enjoy!
