Manhattan in the spring

Today's project is a preview of the card my Friday class will be making this week. It uses the Manhattan embossing folder on Whisper White cardstock. Once the impression was made (by running it through the Big Shot), I used sponge daubers and Stampin' Pastels to add some color. I used mostly Pretty in Pink to color in the flowers, but highlighted the edges of the petals with Bravo Burgundy. (Love the little guide on the lid of the Pastels box that shows me which color is which!)

This white layer is matted with Pretty in Pink and Going Gray with 2 thin strips of Designer Series Paper laid horizontally in between. The card base, like the edges of the flowers, is Bravo Burgundy. One of the easiest aspects of using Stampin' Up's products is that our colors always match each other across product lines. Matching the ink to the paper to the ribbon (etc.) is so easy and you always know it's going to look right!
