UDI Sketch Challenge

Good Morning! Happy Saturday and welcome to another UDI sketch challenge. I really enjoyed making this card. The layout calls for the center to be the "eye-catching" portion of the card without any distraction around it. So, here's what I did :

I stamped the large flower from our Petal Pizzazz set with versamark, heat set some heat & stick powder and poured on the clear chunky glitter. What a shiny, fun flower! I mounted the flower onto the old olive circle, then ran wide olive and narrow light blue grosgrain through notches cut out with my horizontal slot punch.

When I put it down over the tangerine tango and riding hood red card, I felt like it still needed something. The center was just begging me for attention. So I removed a rhinestone from a "ice" brad and used a glue dot to adhere it to the center of a large silver brad (from our hodgepodge kit.) Although it doesn't look centered in the photo, it is in real life....

Although the layout didn't call for it, I wanted to add a sentiment, so I used a portion of one of the stamps from our Smarty Pants set. "Be Yourself" - a good suggestion and a good reminder to self... think I'll leave this one on my desk for a while!

Hope you enjoyed the card! If you would like to play along with the challenge, please take a picture and share it with us. Link to it in a comment here, or if you are loading it onto scs the keyword is DivaSC14. Thanks for stopping by.
