Bella Background

Hello again! Here's another card from my recent stamp-a-stack. This card is actually a copy of one in our SU! demo magazine, but it was simple and lovely so I decided to case it!

One reason I decided to share here is based on a conversation I had with one of my stampers. She was telling me that she has a lot of background stamps, but doesn't use them often because they don't give her a clear image. Or, to get a better image, she has to put her paper on the floor and then step on the stamp - yikes! So lemme share something that will help you use your large stamps without squishing them or getting frustrated.

To ink the stamp, turn it stamp side up and press your ink pad onto it - moving the ink pad around and sorta smushing the pad onto the stamp.

Once it is inked up, leave your stamp where it is and place your cardstock on top of it.

Place a scrap piece of paper over the whole thing and then run your hands over the scrap paper.

Now check out your cardstock - you'll see that the entire image has stamped and you didn't even have to get out of your chair :)

I hope that this has helped someone out there in stampin'-land. It was not the first time I'd heard someone complain about them and their difficulty in using them. Maybe this will turn things around. I love the background stamps and the depth they can give our projects - dust them off and give them a try !
